"Build Bridges!"

Build Bridges! is a unique STEM program for mothers and daughters (K-8) that incorporate team-building activities and invaluable mom & daughter bonding time. Mothers and daughters take part in enjoyable, hands-on STEM activities that require communication, creativity, tinkering and trouble-shooting. Our activities are appropriate for moms and girls with all levels of experience and comfort with STEM. Moms also learn how to be a "STEM mentor" for their daughters, including practical ways to nurture girls’ STEM confidence, how families can incorporate STEM into their daily lives and what opportunities exist online and in their communities for their daughters to engage with STEM. The Build Bridges! program also creates a  new community of women and girls that can be beneficial both personally and professionally (e.g. mentoring, networking). To learn how to bring Build Bridges! to your community, email info@momsasmentors.org or visit momsasmentors.org.

Moms as Mentors' mission is to provide moms with the tools and opportunities they need to be mentors in their daughters’ daily lives, ultimately helping their girls to grow into confident and influential women.

We believe with the right tools and opportunities, mothers, regardless of their own strengths and career paths, can integrate learned skills into their daily lives to improve girls' confidence and their academic, career, and life outcomes.

Our focus: Our programs are centered around content areas where women continue to remain underrepresented, particularly in key leadership positions, including STEM and business/entrepreneurship.
